Lol most european pricing is done with a comma instead of decimal point. Presumably in the hope someone would be stupid enough to hand over 1,000 times the price.

Tee-Hee... Grin...!

...due to the old "Service Pack 2" insistence... Wink...!

Although I can well afford FSX, it would be a waste of time if it refuses to work without Service Pack 2 being installed....Angry...!

Paul,

Personally I think you are wrong on the SP II issues.  Been using it since it was available.... no problems at all.

JBay, you should know by now that Paul is the classical type. If I remember correctly, Paul might still be stuck with the old Radio rather than a TV set for entertainment. That could very much explain his reluctance to use the "new" stuff and live like the Amish. Grin

It's a funny old do...
...but every time I hear of someone having problems with online multiplayer, like being regularly "thrown out", "disconnected", etc, etc, it is invariable because they have a ROUTER with incorrect Port addresses, or Service Pack 2 with its highly effective Firewall incorporated, both of which block communication and cause multiplayer problems which have never existed with me when playing online...
...why...
Because I have neither an annoying ROUTER, or SP 2's highly effective Firewall, annoying the Multiplayer Service Provider which seems to cause so many problems with their users.

I spend a lot of time flying online and I don't need any additions which can cause me grief....
...trust me...Wink...!

Paul....A Very Happy Online Flying Bunny...
...with what I've got...Wink...!

P.S....
Service Pack 2 cannot be installed on my machine, either from CD, or downloaded from Microsoft.
Dont ask why, just take my word for it...end of story...Wink...!

I have too wait on purchasing FSX in concern of hardware issues. If upgrading to windows Vista means I have to purchase a Vista compatible flight controller I will be staying on Windows XP sp-2 for quite sometime until Saitek releases an updated driver to allow X52 controller to operate fully in Windows Vista with FSX.

Who wants to hear a joke?  I'm giving one anyway...

Two burglers are robbing a building, when suddenly, an alarm goes off.  They decide that the police will take a while before they get there, so the finish off their robbing and plan to go.  But 5 police cars pull up to the building, the cops get out, and move into the building.  The first robber says, "Drat, quickly, up here!"
So they're running upstairs, until there were no more stairs to run up.  They run into a room, and the lead robber says, "Quickly!  Jump out of this window!"
"But we're on the 13th floor!!!"
"Just jump!  This is no time to be superstitious!"

Yah. Grin

P.S.  I hav issues with people who can't write my alias properly.  Str!ker is the real alias.  I only use Str1ker for sites which don't accept symbols in alias.  I don't mind if you write Str1ker, or Str!ker, but please don't write Striker, as in a dictionary.

No hostility intended.  Just stating. Wink
