VC Refresh Rate (Read 204 times)

Is there anyway to improve the VC Gauge refresh rate?  In the FSD Navajo the gauges are, umm, jumpy.  Its not just in that plane but in others, but my main concern is that Navajo.  In some planes that I have the gauges are smooth (and no im not talking about smooth gauges like in the RAS planes), but in others they are jumpy.  Is there anyway to fix this?

Hi
The smoothness of guges in the VC is effected by how many
Vcockpit entries there are in the panel.cfg
1=smooth
2=smoothish
3=slightly jumpy
4or more = real jerky
there isnt much an end user can do,you could comment out some of the vcockpit entries but you will loose the gauges in those sections
you could try droping the pxel_size entry in the vcockpit
entries
The other thing is looping xml gauges these will fire of all the time causing a skip in other gauge but it effects FPS more than gauge update
Cheers

I tried to change pixel size and even change the gauges that the plane used but it didnt work.  Im just hoping that more designers, both freeware and payware, develop more aircraft using smooth gauge technology.  The RAS SF260 is my favorite plane to fly right now simply because the VC is spectacular
