i am having a airshow on the westcoastatc 24hr server. it will be at Brunswick Naval Air Station (KNHZ). it is located in the Northeast USA. in the state of maine. the runways length is 8000'. RWY is paved. fuel availible. it will be held on 9th of september which is two weeks away. (18:30 GMT 13:30 US Time) rain or shine event!!
ARRIVALS: Do not spawn at KNHZ. There are very many airports around KNHZ. when on the ground and parked watching who shows up and stunts please switch aircraft to the default. Observers Please set aircrafts to the default. THERE WILL BE NO CONTROLLER. IT WILL BE STRICTLY UNICOM. NO NEED TO REQUEST LANDING OR TAKEOFF CLEARENCE. Active runway will be 33 weather permitting.
DEMOS + STUNTS: there will be a time alloted for the show part. we will give every one about 1hr 30 mins to get in and get settled then we will start the show!
HOW TO CONNECT: the unicom will be on team speak. the Server address is the same for teamspeak and the one to connect in flight simulator. Server Address: 64.119.37.62 The teamspeak Radio channel will be 119.20
Post what type of plane you think of coming in with so we can download them to see you comin' in you fav aircraft and just to know what kind of variety will be attending this event.
Remember: have fun and fly safe. cant wait to see who flies in for the event!!

Sounds like it could be fun. Any particular reason it's not at our own server? Who's supplying the beer? So many questions..so little time. If there's interest, count me in.

Can i fly two displays? Id like to fly one in the F-16 and one in a prop of some kind.
Btw. Are you filming the event? I'd be pleased to film and edit a video.
One more thing: I recommend you PM Mictheslik and see if you can get the SimVBBMF to come.

mrjake 2002 that is totally ok about the two displays. the only concern i have is the f-16. the runways are only 4000' long. is that enough?
how do i get intouch with the guy with bbmf?
and no i am not filming the event. if you want to film the event thats fine with me. and after the event can i get a copy of it?

i would rather use a larger airport aswell. I think i can land the F-16 in 4000 but id rather not risk it. Plus, i might fly something big for my second demo.

Well I always enjoy these shows so if I can I'll join in. As ever work may well get in the way so I can't confirm at this time. Do we have to use Team Speak? I'm way too thick to set it up to work and I don't have a head set. ???
If I fly it will be in the AH Seafire Mk LIIc:

we are using team speak that way we can avoid aircollison and other things like that. the chat box is only to file a flight plan on westcoastatc but we do not have to do that unless you are a regersterd westcoastatc pilot like myself.

Hawker, there are many places that sell simple computer microphones for $10. And it is very easy to set up with regards to teamspeak.

I'll also display Mike Stone's C130..
here
if there's room Ill squeeze in a fourth
In the Bell Cobra
here
The SimVBBMF Will be happy attending, i've just got to see if I can sort out a squad, if I can then I will give links to the planes.

No problem mic. Ive decided i prefer the f16 anyway so i'll fly that instead. As for my second display ive been practicing the B-52 and the bison (BIG soviet plane!) and i'll fly one of them.

I've got a mic, it's a headset I don't have. I'm not too technically minded at times when it comes to setting up software. It takes me forever to install new aircraft let alone set up a live chat system! I would rather just use the chat box to keep life simple. Us older folk don't have the talent and ability of you youngsters you know!

Could always do one of those heritage flight displays with a Eurofighter Typhoon and a Hawker Typhoon in formation.

Ok, change of plan again. Ive decided to scrap the F-16 and do one display in a helicopter of some kind and one in the Myasishchev Bison-B. And also, it might be nice to start the show with something like
this
. I'd also be happy to fill in any places for people that didn't turn up.
Oh, and one more thing. I recommend you turn autogen off when the display is on cause theres a fair bit around and with the aircraft as well there's probably a big impact on framerates.
EDIT: I meant to ask. Do we have to be on teamspeak? Only last time we did a display on a server that need teamspeak it caused a lot of problems. If you can get it to work, i recommend using SimV.

hey guys,
ok lets see here, mic there will always be room for a display. i am not limiting the number of events a player can do but i would like to keep the event time within 5 hours. i am also glad to hear that simVbbmf will attend!
TeamSpeak: teamspeak is not our server. the server we are going to be running on is Westcoastatc. it is free. teamspeak will only be for our communications. Hawker the thing about you not using teamspeak is that you will not be able to voice communicate with us.
http://www.westcoastatc.com/TeamSpeak.shtml?Submit4=Read
<<<that is the web site for the setting up of teamspeak. just follow the onscreen instructions. all it really is, is typing a few numbers wich is 64.119.37.62 that is for the 24hr communication server. you also type that number in FS2004 to connect to the WestCoastATC server. AGIAN THE TEAMSPEAK IS ONLY FOR COMMUNICATIONS.
i have been flying on the westcoastatc server for 4 years now and also running teamspeak and i have never had a problem with it.
http://www.westcoastatc.com/JoiningSession.shtml?Submit5=Read
that URL is for how to connect to a westcoastATC session. it is very easy. if you have any problems connecting PM me and i will try to help you out.

no there will not be any password on this. the only time there is a password is when westcoastATC is having one of there formal atc sessions. we are only using there server we are not in one of there atc sessions.

Will do an F-22 demo, modelled after what the real F-22 demo will look like in 2008. If anyone has a small sized freeware F-22 they know of, can you please tell me where to find it. I.E. Link. I will be changing from that to my Alphasim F-22, so you can still see me in the free F-22 if you do not have the Alphasim. If I could also get a Mustang pilot to do a brief heritage flight near the end of my demo that would be great. PM me if you would like to help out. Please, only serious offers. i.e. you know how to be a flight lead.

I wouldn't mind or you could try landing before the start of the runway because its a pretty clear area, and when we park will it be just park anywhere or will it be like jets here, helicopters there, WWII planes there, and ect.?

Okay, gonna do 2 displays
First, Gonna fly the Red Bull Extra 300L found here-
http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/syb.cgi?section=props&file=Extra300RedBull.zip
Then going to fly my excellent F-22, which you can find here-
http://www.simviation.com/fs2004military36.htm
Again, for the Raptor demo, I will actually be using the Alphasim Raptor, so dont be surprised when you see it pop up IF you have it.

I Reckon Both!!!
Ok, ive got an idea. We could use a few flyable formations to do a big flypast at the start, then we'd only need a couple of pilots but it would still look good. I know there are flyable formations of the Red Arrows, Patrioulle de France, The spanish display team (forget what they're called), The Black Sea Hawks, A greek mirage team, The midnight hawks, The saudi hawks etc. Im sure there is more available. If anyone wants to do this then it would look awesome

No need to post something twice in two different threads! We heard you the first time!
Will be gone for this weekend, but will be practicing my fingers to the bone next week for the RAPTOR display. I tell you know, your eyes will bug out of your head when you see what this thing is capable of. Lets just say, I can make Sukhoi's Flankers look like 3rd World fighters....

I'll probably be flying something a bit tamer. With AlphaSim's new Jaguar freeware release, I may be tempted to display that.

Well during the Warbird show the other week my X45 Joystick/throttle set started acting up and even stopped working at one point. Today it will not work at all. Unless I can get a replacement joystick I’m going to have to pull out. I really want another X45 but they are getting a bit old now. Fingers crossed I’ll be flying by the weekend but I’ll keep you posted.

At the very least, get a Saitek ST290, they usually sell them at WalMart, but I guess if you are in england you dont have Walmart there....Still, a good stick for a low price!
I managed to find a retailer in the UK with a new X45 on-line and ordered it last night. 3-5 days delivery so it will be a close one for the show.

"To go Mach 3 or to not go Mach 3 at the airshow, THAT is the question." Problem is, is that if i were to go by at Mach 3, would you even see me go by with the multiplayer lag?

The question is, can you go at mach 3 at ground level?

BTW I might come but I hope the show won't end up like the last warbird airshow.... I have to get up at 4 in the morning so I hope it's worth it
. If I come I'll fly either the Hawk or the Tomcat V2 or the final package. All these planes are avilable here at SimV except for the Tomcat V2 which has been removed.
Cheers
