screenart courtesy of Sniperman

We all know the expression "Every picture tells a story" right? Here's a slight variation to that theme "Every picture sings a song." This competition requires you pick any one of your favourite songs and then  put it to screenart. You can use an existing pic or get airborne and take one specifically for the song you've picked. Edited or raw shots, your choice. Add the title and a verse or two to your screenshot and post your creation here. Competition runs until next Sunday, there'll be a mystery judge (announcement shortly) picking the winner. One entry per person. Here's another opportunity to place your screenart in our  prestigious Gallery.  Smiley

I see that you finally got your finger out and started the contest!!
(For those that are confused, see This thread)

Nice idea Theis. I've always wanted to suggest a contest of sorts with everyone posting a song title and a pic to match the song. Maybe you've started one here..lol..Nicely done  Smiley

So to anyone thinking that Clipper has got a nice idea, you're wrong Wink Grin (No pun intended Danny, no pun intended)

Cheers Theis

Theis, seeing as it's your idea, it would be great if you posted a songbird pic and kickstarted this competition. LeBrelon, great entry, now if we can get you some competition....
Where is everyone on this? Boring topic? Let me know everyone so we'll set something up more along the lines of what  you're interested in screenshooting.

And now for my controversial Entry into the songbirds comp

Preying on a Rookie pilot coming in to land...

Zerstörer

...

Rammstein's  Zerstören

Me-110 nickname: Zerstörer hence the relation

Meine Sachen will ich pflegen
Den Rest in Schutt und Asche legen
Zerreißen zerschmeißen
Zerdrücken zerpflücken
Ich geh am Gartenzaun entlang
Wieder spür ich diesen Drang
Ich muss zerstören
Doch es darf nicht mir gehören
Ich muss zerstören
Doch es darf nicht mir gehören

Translation

I want to tend to my things
and reduce the rest to rubble
Ripping, bashing
Crushing, picking
I go along the garden fence
And feel the urge again
I must destroy
But only if it doesn't belong to me
I must destroy
But only if it doesn't belong to me

T'was the song in my head for this one and this is what I made... hope you don't hate me too much..

Cheers

Soui

Very very relevant Theis, my only suggestion being a closer view on the action, while keeping space for the songs (probably in smaller, closer spaced text).

Will be posting my entry soon... Hope Sunday doesn't run up on me too fast... been so busy with my new job lately... I'm currently looking for inspiration in my 1300+ songs. It'll most likely be something from Linkin Park...

Souichiro's SongBird Suggestion

Fergie-Ferg's "London Bridge"

...

My first real hand at any type of edit. One Step Photofix and flourescent lighting in Photoshop along with the Old English Text MT and resize and sharpen in Irfanview.

A EuroFighter upside down over Central London.

Been reeeeallll busy with my new job nowadays. Sorry I took so long to enter. I'm satisfied with my last minute entry. Off to write my lesson plans. Ta-ta. Thanks Souichiro!!!
