So I'm wanting better weather than what MS2004 can offer and better skys. I tried ActiveSky, but all it does is crash.

Does anyone have suggestions to another weather/sky add-on?

I have active sky and it works great and has never crashed. Are you sure you followed the install instructions. This has to be inside of FS in order to work otherwise it will crash.
My copy of active sky had a sheet of paper inside the cd holder telling you to follow the install instructions or the program will not work. 8)

I do not not know what problem you had maybe you got a bad disk. But if did not work then time to move on.
I for one love Active sky. It truely puts the actual weather in the sim so as you fly along you can actually fly into and out of bad weather just like the real world pilots do. And the weather radar is great. I had a little trouble getting that to work at first. It turned out that I had a different version of FSUIPC and the program did not like it. I used the one that came with active sky and that solved the problem.
