Well the air show is this Wednesday in Atlantic City, NJ.

Is anybody else going to be there and do you want to have a Meet & Greet before the show starts?

I'll Be there about 9:00 near the Tropicana Casino.

I may know by sometime tomorrow (Monday)... alas, it's a workday. But they might turn me loose- they owe me, big-time.
I think a pre-show meet-up is a great idea.

Maybe I'll just call in sick...the one excuse guaranteed to not invite further inquiry is: explosive diahrrea. Nobody wants to talk about explosive diahrrea. It's mportant to make the call from the bathroom, with a bucket of water handy to pour into the toilet...("Uh, hold on a sec...*flush* ...oh God, please just kill me... *groan*...so anyway, if you want, I could come in for maybe half a day, maybe after lunch?") Grin

Haven't used that one in a long, long time. Yep, that'll be Plan B. Grin

Chances are good one of us could pick you up, if the 'rents are OK with that... it's more on my way than it is for Willit, but I still don't know if I'm going... I'm going to submit a request for Wed-Fri off, though. We'll see...

It's just as well. My boss called and asked if I could come in that day. So instead of spending $50 on crap, I'll be making $50 doing crap. Tongue

Thanks for the offer though. It's appreciated. Besides Sean, I don't know what my parents would think about that. Even though they've met you, it's kinda weird. Roll Eyes

I guess you're right... but what they don't realize is that I'm really just an overgrown kid. I guess people won't be cool with that until Im much older... Grin

I'm still waiting for word... these people have a really bad habit of waiting until the last possible instant to make up their minds about anything.

Guess I'll have to be a nudge and call again... and of course the service mgr is already dreaming up stupid stuff for me to do, like writing up an equipment list for a system that was commissioned two years ago (Hello? where is the original BOM?)... chances are good that this will suddenly be elevated to Code Red Ultra-Super-High Priority...did I mention I'm not actually part of the service division (they seem determined to run nationwide field service with no dedicated techs in NYC)?
Lordy lord, I hate this business...

Just got word; I take it all back; my employers are the best anyone could hope for... sigh... I'm so lucky... Wink

So it's 0900, near the... (scroll scroll scroll)...Tropicana; I'll be wearing either my black B17 T-shirt or black B-17 cap... or both. Grin

Or maybe the B17 cap with the yellow Blue Angels shirt...
or maybe a pink carnation... Grin

Might have to get a 1G SD card for the ol' camera; wx should be very good and there's quite a line-up planned (I will have 3 batteries and the car charger with me).

The only thing that sucks about these East Coast beachfront shows is that the sun will be behind the planes the whole time... I was going nuts at the Jones Beach show trying to get good shots.
So now it's me, Willit, and Elite... wonder if Fly2E's working, or...? I'll PM him. I might be able to get one or more other friends to come along... then we'll officially qualify for "gang" status. Grin

I'll PM one of you guys with my cell #, also, just to avoid the embarassing "lost child" PA announcement... Grin
