I was wondering why my computer didn't let the Demo install.

1. I found out that the file was incomplete [didn't download completely].

2. I have reinstalled Windows XP in preparationfor the Demo. So as a result, the service pack 2 wasn't installed [which is required - as some people say].

Yes, you must have SP2 installed to run FSX

The fact that you have to install the SP2 really sucks. I'm not gonna install it just because of that Angry, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to stick with the SP1 for now.

I might reconsider it (maybe after days of frustration Grin), but it seems that there will be no FSX for me before the the full version comes out. I'm downloading it tho, just in case I change my mind Tongue.

Cheers

With software there are always quarks... try installing it and see if it will complete. It looks for updated files installed by SP2 but you may get lucky and it will run.

... it does run on Vista and XPx64
