I don't know the story but I think you can safely call it an almighty balls-up

well what i think what happend, he touched down too late too slow, wasnt able to speed up enough to take off again so he dropped off the edge and his tailhook caught the safty net

The second one looks like the plane had tail hook problems and had to catch the net and things went a little wrong and ended up over the side.
