yea thas what I meant... my bad

Typically I set to ON but that will lower performance... but gains image quality

He has a 9800 pro With ATI cards there were 4 setting levels... OFF (no matter what the application wants), OFF (unless application specifies otherwise), ON (unless application specifies otherwise), and ON (no matter what the application wants)

He's running ATI so that is what I was refering to, setting 3 or ON (unless application specifies otherwise)

It should be in the driver settings... on the list about mid way down

Sorry... sometimes I read too fast

Simply...
CAT AI is a hardware detection of the application. If it sees ways of 'cheating' the visuals to give you better performance with little or no loss to the visual quality of the image the human eye can detect it will do so.
