Can anyone tell me how to make the weapons work in Lock On Gold. I have tuned the flight controls to a joystick but so far have not fired a single shot ???

Did you try goin through the tutorial? I dont have this particular game but I  know for a fact you cant just shoot Missles when you want, you have to press a lot of buttons first, then you can Smiley

good luck,

Basically you have to close in on your target, then go through all the number buttons on the keyboard until you come to your missiles. Then, it has to lock, once it has locked, press spacebar and that launches the missile. It's very basic explination but hopefully it is of some help Cheesy

LOMAC is defeniatly not a "point and shoot" game.
It is complex as far as various systems go, this is a great sim to utililize game controlers such as CH Products fighterstick or the X45 sticks that support various modes so that you can map keys for the weapons systems.

Tutorials are helpful but nothing beats reading the manual and plenty of practice.
I have had it for a long time and everytime I fly in it I learn something new.

It depends on what aircraft you're flying.  In the F-15 you only have to select an air-to-air mode, then fire away.  In the A-10, you need to select an air-to-air mode or air-to-ground mode and then fire away.  In any of the russian built aircraft you first have to aquire and lock-on to an aircraft and meet the missile launch parameters before you can fire any air-to-air weapons, or you can select a ground mode and fire whenever you want.  Or, you could just switch to cannons and blast whatever you want.
