As I am sure you have noticed, I like to give my shots cool angles. I believe that one of the most important aspects of a good screenshot is the angle. The angle has to be unique, stunning, and give you a 'feel' of the picture.
With recorder, many new angles are possible, and relatively easy to achieve given a small amount of practice. We have already seen many cool angles but I still thing there is a lot more potential
Note the above shot. The angle that I gave it gives a great feeling of whats going on in the shot. Also, notice the background. You can see a few C-17s, and these planes add a certain extra element to the shot
Here is another example of how an angle can give you a certain sensation. In this shot it feels as iff I am wildly banking and pulling away, when in reality I am just doing a normal climb out. The plane was pitched up about 5-10 degrees and banked maybe 5, but the angle makes it feel like much more. Again, notice the airport in the background. As I've said before, good screenart needs to literally paint a picture. In the screenshot, the airport in the background reminds viewers that the plane is taking off and turning to get on course
So remember, angles and background details contribute as much to a shot as the aircraft itself.
Hope you've enjoyed this little tip and found it helpful, any questions/comments are welcome!

Jake, I couldn't agree with you more on the importance of creating unique and dramatic angles. I've always felt, particulary in creating shots for the competition that a unique angle was as eye catching to the judges as any other element in the creation of the shot. I think this would be a great exercise for us all to try here at Studo...post a pic or two in a common thread displaying a new and unique angle. I'll set it up shortly and thanks for this excellent tutorial!

Yes, its the CRJ-900. Funny looking plane cause the body is REALLY long but the wings are REALLY short

What beats me is how he went through all the pages to find it.

Jakemaster.. I just saw your first pic, and i thought.. how cool would that be if he took that shot at KCHS. (which is where I live)
well, looking at shot 2, confirmed it for me. It IS/WAS KCHS. I know that airport layout and surrounding area like the back o' me own hand.
Great Shots!!!!! Thank you!!
