Yes,first Im not a fan of the biggest murderer of all the history,But I got a cable channel (Movie City) they play the best movies from all the world including USA,
I saw this wonderful movie(without trasalation) in German is like Shindler's list but from the enemy point of view
It was about Hitler last days before he suicide,I learn about eva braun ,her sister many military people loyal to the reich ,great Photography ,good performing acting (specialy the actor who plays Hitler he was exacly like him and his voice is like being cloned)
I hope many German fellows Here have seen, it,is not Old ,I think is new, very well,I don't know the name ,it was in German but I very suprice by how well In Germany can make a good picture, good as Shindler's List..Is anyone has seen it?

I expect you were watching "Downfall" (English title - "Der Untergang" in Germany) - based on the diaries of Hitler's late secretary, Traudl Junge (who was also extensively interviewed for Thames Televisions "World at War" series in the early 70s...

Pearl Harbor - most of that movie was over CGI'd fiction... (on the part of the two main characters - or how Ben Affleck won the Battle of Britain, saved Pearl Harbo(u)r, then becomes a bomber pilot to bomb and gain vengeance the Japanese...)

The best Pearl Harbour film has to be "Tora Tora Tora"

That's actually a quote attributed to Admiral Yamamoto after the attack on Pearl Harbor. It roughly translates as "I fear we have awakened a sleeping giant and filled him with a terrible resolve." This was featured in the film Tora! Tora! Tora!
While Yamamoto might have believed it there's no proof that he actually said those words.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isoroku_Yamamoto's_sleeping_giant_quote
Randall Wallace, the screenwriter of Pearl Harbor, readily admitted that he copied the line from Tora! Tora! Tora!. (Pearl Harbor is not troubled by accuracy; among other examples of dramatic license, it shows Yamamoto saying those words while standing on a carrier in the attacking force despite the fact that he was on board his flagship Nagato anchored at a naval base in Japan throughout the attack.)

Coincidentally, Mako, who played Yamamoto in the 2001 movie passed away just last week...

Agree, Tora Tora Tora is a very good movie. I have it in my collection. Also, Hagar is correct, the "sleeping giant" quote has not yet been cooberated. However, Yamamoto was dead set against war with the US. He went to war as a sailor performing his duties. Yamamoto spent time in the US and admired the country. He was once asked what his prospects for war with the US and he said that for 18 months he would run wild, but after that, he could guarantee nothing. Actually, his wild running pretty much ended in June 1942, just 6 months from the start of war with the US.
