Hi,

I got this question on my mind and I can't get an answer to it. If I use multiplayer on my FS2004, can anybody who uses FS2002 see me fly? That is if FS2002 has a multiplayer option.

The same accounts for the following; can I see somebody fly who will use FSX if I'm still using FS2004?

You can fly together with FS2002 and FS2004 User in one
Session.. this works.. usually.
FSX will probabely use another network protocol.. because Microsoft discontinues DirectPlay that is used by 2002/2004.
But.. don´t quote me on that Smiley
If they change the protocol I doubt you will be able to fly with FSX and FS2004 user in one session.
For my part I hope they change the network
part of FSX. They way it´s handled now causes
a lot of problems.. like not beeing able to join a session because of port issues, people cannot find the session at all,
some players are not visible to others... and so on..

No problem, Paul. Most of the time you fly to fast anyway. LOL. What I am concerned of (a little bit, it's not the end of the world) is the fact that as soon as FSX is for sale and people start using the Mutliplayer you will need to separate the two different sims. For example: Jimbo's Euro tour on Sunday for FS2004 and on Monday for FSX. Flying together is no longer possible then since not everybody here will buy FSX. And how about the AirShow we had some time ago? Do two separate airshows? Or only for FSX or FS2004.?

Something to think about.
