recorder traffic ??? (Read 660 times)

ok

i have been usgin recorder a lot, and i think it is fantastic, just one glitch

whenever i record a section of my flying as traffic, for example, a 747 AF1 livery so that i can use a fighter as an escort, i can never get the 747 to stay as i change to an F-14/18/16/15 etc.

I will explain better...

i record AF1 coming in to land from the 50 miles point or wherever, and then i move the aircraft back to the originationg point. I change to my F-XX and then select the recorded traffic, but the traffic always comes out as the aircraft i have currently in use, so the F-XX whatever it may be ???

does this happen to everyone? or am i doing something wrong?

cheers
james

hi james,

you should read the .pdf manual which comes with the module as there is a chapter dealing with this.

my experience is the following:
I use the recorder to record a flight then ask it to be played as traffic, once playing, I pause the sim and change my A/C. and it worked for me that way. the only thing is I changed from one A/C type to the same type but in another livery...

it may be different in your situation.

again, go and read the manual... Wink

Vince is essentially right.....if you start the recording in one aircraft then that will be the aircraft played back. This means you have to start the recording when you are AF1 and change after it's started.

Yea thats how it works, what i do is record my plane for an extra few seconds before i takeoff so i have time to change my plane and get situated before the traffic starts moveing  Grin

Sweet. I didn't know you could do this. I thought you  had to use the same a/c.
