Has anyone been driven to insanity by the Mosquito Ad.

I have a headach everytime that comes up which is 90% of the time.

Please get it off the website. I hate going to this website because of it!

IMAGE REMOVED AS IT WAS LINKED FROM ANOTHER SITE (NOT PERMITTED AS STATED IN THE SIGN-UP PAGE) AND WAS REALLY SLOWING THINGS DOWN!

YES!
That ad is the most annoying ad I have ever experienced.

Another very annoying ad is the one that litterely shouts for you "type somehing in the box".

Do we  now all have to have our speakers turned off while on the net? It certainly seems so.

Sound ads like these shoud be BANNED!!!
These are not ads which you have the choice of listening to or not, they are a blatent, invasion that can not be turned off short of exiting the offending web site.
Ads like these can be the death of a site!

All web masters/owners should notify their ad suppliers that they do not want these type of ads.
Remember: "If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem"

You can choose not to play sounds from internet pages if you wish so, I'm sure you can do it in IE and you're likely to be able to do the same in Firefox.

Occasionally bad ads appear.

We use an agency for our top banners & they will often use 3rd party agencies as we have around 8M page views/week & low click through.

I do my best to track down & remove annoying ads whenever I can. Removing these ads makes little or no difference to ad revenue - but the problem is often finding our where they are coming from as there are 100's of possible sources.

On a positive note they usually get removed anyway as we aren't the only ones to be irritated by them.

Thansk for the heads up.

You expect people to tun off  web page sounds because of offending web ads?

I don't think so, this would be like giving in to to the things that are slowly runing the net.
This would be like  abandoning e-mail because of SPAM and saying the spamers won!

I prefer to fight to remove the offences.

If you dont use your email the spammers haven't won, they've lost, they want you to buy thier products.

It's still here.  I've gone so far to venture to this forum for an answer.  I guess I'm a bit hypocritical because I'm too lazy to look for a real answer, but I tend to listen to music a lot.  Thus.. I'm drawn to linking straight to the forums instead of the site.. which I'm sure isn't what you guys are looking for.

Please, remove the ad.
