I passed my bike test and so have now gone from this:
...

To this:
...

No more L plates, being bullied by cars or sounding like a bee in a jam jar for me Grin

She is a 2004 Suzuki GS500f.
11,000 miles.
Professionally fitted alarm.
0-60 5 seconds
120mph top speed

...

...

Any other bikers want to post some pics of their bikes in this post? It could be quite cool to see what you guys have.

A more than fairly chuffed,

Pete Smiley

Wow that was a lightning quick response. Thanks very much for the congrats.

I was lucky that this bike appeared on autotrader literally the same day that I sold the NSR. To make the deal even sweeter the bloke only lived 4 miles away.

I've scared myself a bit with the power once or twice but I'm just taking it easy and seeing what it can do. It's just a relief to be able to cruise at 70 and know that it still has plenty of go left if I need it. 8)

Its a GS500. . ., the performance is not really as modern as the looks. . .it is a begginer bike, not a gixxer.

Nice looking example you got there crumbso!

Thanks, how about posting some pics of your ride?

Yeah it's not a full on sports-bike more of a solid commuter. Being a twin though means plenty of low-down torque and a really smooth power delivery, unfortunately that sacrifices a little top speed. It gets up to the top speed pretty quickly though and I've not been beaten off the lights yet Grin

I've had no problems with the handling, very easy to get your knee down. I've had the pegs scraping once but miles of grip thanks to the guy I bought it off shoving some Bridgestone BT-45's on it.

I thought the IS200's top speed was 135mph or thereabouts ??? Have you taken it up to 161?

Well, I'm certainly not a biker (too young to even consider driving anything yet) but my father did at one stage have one of these (now sold), of which I used to get many rides on:

Triumph TT-600

Our very own Nemo has his eye on the TT600, apparantly very nice handling bikes. I think the only downfall is they are butt ugly Grin Thinking of getting into biking when you're older?
