Hi all;D
I was just wondering, what will happen to the RAF canberras after retirement?
Will they go to museums, end up as gate guards or just simply get scrapped?

Indeed. There are 5 that need disposing of IIRC - 3 PR9s, which I expect at least one or two, hopefully three will go into museum retirement, and a T4 which I believe has been at Shawbury for some time as a spares source - which one could reasonably expect would be very useful if sold to Air Atlantique for the upkeep of their T4 and WK 163 (B2?).

The last airframe which was substantially complete was that which was involved in the tragic accident at Marham on 2 Sept 2004, in which the two pilots were killed upon ejection. I don't know whether that's still extant or has been disposed of - again it may have been a good spares source.
