I cant believe it!!
A B52 just came really low over my house in bristol!!
he must be on his way to Fairford, but even so he was VERY low, compared to the 737's I get over all the time.
Made quite a noise too, looked out the window expecting to see a 737 and I saw 8 huge engines!
Shame I couldn't get any pics.
Hopefully, ill be seeing more military types flying in then!

Farnborough 2004 - B-52 flies past Farnborough
A US Air Force Boeing B-52 crew staged their Farnborough International flypast on time last week, but inadvertently missed the airfield by about 15km (8nm). The Stratofortress, recast in recent conflicts as a close air support platform, apparently buzzed unsuspecting workers at nearby Blackbushe airfield. Farnborough crowds, squinting to view the B-52 in the distance, learned of the crew's navigation error thanks to a tip-off via the air show's public address system.

At least he wasn't on a bombing raid
Probably just heading to Fairford for the Air Tattoo, but quite an unusual way to do it.

That 2004 incident was a classic screw-up by B52 crew. After telling the world about their superior technology and their ability to drop bombs with pinpoint accuracy, they failed to spot an airshow the size of Farnborough International and instead buzzed the wrong target 8 miles away
Hope they're a little more professional when they drop live ordnance!
RIAT this weekend, watch the skies for a whole lot of interesting aircraft flying in.
