Hi all,
I'm going through my Ai adding new Ai Arrdvark models in to replace the stuff I've got at the moment, the only problem I'm having is before compiling with TTools, in the Aircraft section, I have no idea how to point it towards the models. What bit of text from the aircraft .cfg do I copy?
Thanks for the help,
John.

John,

Simply copy the exact title of the particular AI aircraft's .cfg entry that you want to use as AI.

IOW if this is your entry:

[fltsim.1]
title=AIA 737-700 Airtran <----this is the important line
sim=aia_737_NG
model=no_refl
texture=airtran
atc_airline=Citrus
ui_manufacturer=AI AIRLINER
ui_type=Boeing 737-700
ui_variation=Airtran
description=AI Aardvark Airtran 737-700. Repainted by Tony Fosler
atc_parking_codes=TRS
atc_parking_types=GATE

Then just copy AIA 737-700 Airtran into your Aircraft_xxx.txt file for TTools to compile, making sure to put the whole thing in quotes exactly as it is written in that line of the .cfg file.

No problem.  It's a bit of a chore to update all your ai models but well worth it IMO.

Ok I've got another question lol Tongue I know I've seen something like this post before, is there a way to make it so the Ai Models don't show up in the aircraft selection menu?

Get the AirEd .air file editor.

Run AirEd, open the aircrafts .air file and find the line:

105 Aircraft Type=0   <------- change value to 2.

Just a note in ref. to this and your earlier post, 'AI Aardvark':

Here is a package that already replaces the default airline traffic with AI Aardvark models.

2004 International Airline AI Traffic Package, by Chester.

I thought this image showed the aircraft.cfg line to include quite clearly:

I knew where to put it Wji, but I had no idea where you got that line from outa the aircraft.cfg. Remember, I'm a complete noob at programming AI.

You can also use several other programs to remove AI aircraft or any other aircraft in your folder from the FS9 menu.  The big advantage of not using AirEd and instead using one of these other programs is that they will let you change the aircraft in batches instead of one by one.

Here are a couple of programs that will do that as well as some other useful things for you:

Flusifix
-look for the English version in the lower right hand corner of the web page.

BBQ Hide
File name=bbqhideai.zip located at Avsim
