Seems a "real" simulator builder contemplates whether to bring it's knowledge to the PC-platform... Talk about possible extreme realism!

Off-course, it's just plans at the moment...

Just another reason for Microsoft to try harder....(not that they aren't trying hard)

the one area this would stand to be better is flight dynamics. Most of these full size sims, dont have that great a graphics setup. Its not really needed.

Sound's more like a competitor for Laminar Research rather than for Microsoft.

I agree with Katahu. X-plane has great flight dynamics but FS9 has the best realistic graphics out there today.
In an alternative world, all these companies would unite and create a simulator capable of making you soil yourself when you are facing windshear and turbulance during landing and you can see the grass and dirt from the gound being pick up by the wind. Wink now that would be cool. (slaps self into reality) oh, wait, that was just a dream....well, back to spending money on SEVERAL simulators and add-ons and wishing for that perfect sim....someday 8)

That reminds me of a funny little story...
I am an engineer at Boeing and have a screenshot from FS9 on my desktop.  I was telling my one buddy here about the game and my lead overhears us say something about a flight sim.  So he asked if we were talking about the full size ones that we have for training.  When I explained what I was saying he asked if I had ever been in one of those and I said that I hadn't.  So he says "Oh, well I know the people in charge down there, do you want to go try it?"  Shocked  Um, yeah I want to go down there and fly it.  I'll post pictures if I can when I go, see how they compare to John's home built!

by the looks of it its just an exploring ideah. compititon for fsx, its to late in the development stage for that maby fsxi. or maby a good one to offset the years in witch fs comes out.  one year fs... the other made by a company witch looks like a war profiteer  Grin

by the way

microsoft games ( halo! rise of nations)
xbox 360
xp
vistas
all things that keeps m$ in busness its a big company with alot of computer related markets and pc tittles the flight simulator series is cirtenly not whats keeping the company afloat. it helps but lousing in the flight sim game wouldnt hurt m$ much. a couple million hit to a multi billion company

big or small i like them all ...? that dosent sound right&&slew mode dose not count as flying&&737-700aholic

Stiff competition for physics and stuff, but i doubt it would be stiff compeition for the graphics.

MS gonna stay on top. 8)  No worries. Wink  For MS atleast...

...&&FS Water Configurator+ has new modifications in the works, plus DirectX 10, Service Pack&&1, and Radeon HD 3+ Series support.
