I went flying last Friday, so I thought I would try making a movie of landing at my home airport, Morey Airport (C29).  It's nothing special, mostly just a test of my camera.  It starts right before my turn from downwind to base for runway 10. Smiley

Also, it was shot at 640x480, so if you change the "view size" at the bottom to 640, you might be able to see it better...

Thanks for looking. Wink

That was cool. How did you mount the camera?

By the way, nice landing. 8)

A little lower on base than I like to get, but you worked it really well... very nice touchdown.
What camera are you using?

Well, you could tell that wasn't me flying  Embarrassed (I'm the guy that lands a PA28 harder than some people crash the damned thing)  Grin

Lovely video, and a solid approach and landing alltogether. Really like those smaller strips, seems like the approach is going really fast  Smiley
Whenever I land at our 40m+ runway, feels like I'm flying in slowmo.

I dont have the kind of equipment like yours, but it seems really neat to try it sometime!

Thanks for sharing  Smiley

Thanks for the comments guys, it wasn't my best landing, but it wasn't my worst, a little flat, but I'll take it. Grin

The camera is just a Pentax Optio W10, with the default movie mode.  I must say, for $210, this was an excellent deal for such a great camera, I'm very happy with my purchase. Grin

I've been trying to descend a little sooner lately becaue I find myself chopping the throttle after turning to final, and I'd rather power it in when it's easy to control the airspeed and descent rate, instead of diving at the runway at the last second, but I agree with you, it looks like I was flying almost level on base there. I just set/jammed it between the windscreen and the instrument panel, and luckily it stayed there.  I tried to take a  video of my take-off also, but the camera tipped backwards when I pushed the power in, I have the video still, it's kind of funny.  Tongue Grin

What's flightlevel350.com?  I went there and it looks like it's just airplanes that are big or fast. ??? Wink
