G3 or 3 Guitar players with support..

the base consists of Joe satriani and Steve vai with guest players like eric Johnson and John Petrucci.. Anyone heard of them?

They are bloody brilliant!

You can find some clips on youtube but I suggest you go down to your local record shop to have a listen..

Or in my case.... I ordered The tokyo tour and rocking the free world online!

Can't wait for both of them to arrive!!

So? heard of them?

I believe Yngwie Malmsteem used to be the permanant third member (could be wrong though.)

Technical skill all round but they sometimes sacrifice songs for egotistical 100 note per second soloing.

Yes Yngwie was a member.
Never got to see them all play as G3 but have seen them seperatly many times, and Steve and Joe jam together once.

You want another killer DVD get Steve Vai live at the Astoria London. Vai and Sheehan complment each other amazingly.
As well as having Tony McAlpine along with them awesome show!

I do enjoy them, and I like alot of Joe Satriani's stuff. I may check out that DVD.
