kl kl, well, we would need to figure out which displays to do, how many pilots needed etc etc...
The prudent plan would be to have more pilots than are always necessary, which would reduce the limitations of being unable to fly as "X" is unavailable that day, and having them able to fly different elements within the team...

Just took the Canberra PR.9 up for a spin. Nice aircraft to fly, and it would certainly be a good addition to some sort of historic flight!

Not hinting. Suggesting.
That's always if you have a historic flight with it, at times. As with the Vulcan at the show.
Else I'll gladly take up the position of one of the extra Spitfires

Okay so it seems we're forming an RAF Historical Flight are we?
If so, here are our suggestions for aircraft compiled into some form of list (we don't want too many):
BBMF aircraft
Canberra PR.9
Vulcan
2 x Hunter (?)
2 xGnat (?)
And one of my suggestions - a modern RAf aircraft to lead the pack (Hawk?)
And another suggestion: Mike Stone's C-130 (in RAF colours, there's bound to be an RAF paint out there somewhere)
We could set up for certain displays at certain SimV shows, like this time we had the BBMF, next time we could have the Hunters/ Gnats as Flymo suggested, another time we could have the Herc escorted by two or more fighters?
What do you guys think? I would imagine this list is plenty enough, as I said, we don't want too many aircraft or that would mean a lot of downloading (especially for those on 56k), plus we would probably have about 2-3 pilots for each aircraft (the pilots would take it in turns to fly in the RAF historical flighty-thing each airshow
)

if you guys don't mind, ill take up the team organiser position in my lancaster (its slow and so enables me to type stuff into the chat box
)
Can I just say that we don't want too many planes, as then no-one would be able to watch
If we perhaps start of with just the BBMF planes and the vulcan. If this is successful, we can begin to add new historic jets to the line-up.
So as it stands the positions are;
Spitfire Mk IIa - Available
Spitfire LF IXe - Cspyro21
Spitfire Mk V B - Available
Spitfire PRXIX - Tweek
Hurricane Mk IIc - Serpent_6
C-47 - Heathaze
Chipmunk - Available
Lancaster - Mictheslik
Vulcan - Nemo
Theres only 1 chipmunk cos lets face it, theyre pretty dull
)
Just to say, anyone suggesting dogfights in my opinion can leave now, Dogfights almost always end up failing with people doing ridiculously unrealistic manoevres.
As for the historic jets issue, maybe in the meantime a seperate display can be set up, but at the moment the SimVuVBBMF consists of the above planes doing formation flying between individual displays.
So if anyone wants to join up say here what you would like to fly!
On a second thought it might be good to set up a website, I can do this on Myspace.com as its easy but if anyone wants to set up a half decent one then PM me and Ill tell you the details.
Thanks for reading, I hope you all agree!
.Mic
PS What have i started?

Sounds good enough Mic, start small as they say
Anyway, I found a Mk IXe Spit on Avsim, by Paul Rebuffat (yay
), so perhaps that would make things more realistic
EDIT: you've started the best MP formation flight I've seen

I would take up the Chipmunk and be unique... but I'll take a Spitfire. Gonna see what repaints there are for Paul Rebuffat's collection.
Found a PR.XIX, so I'll take that position 8)

Ain't itg great?
Anyway, I'll say my suggestion is for the future, when perhaps we can expand on what we have. For now, Mic, we'll go with your's
I'm going to see if I can paint (or if there is a paint) for Paul's Mk IXe in the BBMF colours.

Also, just for notes, here are a few things we can use:
Dakota BBMF repaint on SimV
Paul's Mk IXe Spit

Aren't they keeping the same paint but making it "better/newer"?

One will be made. Most likely by UKMIL.
And just in case you missed it, check my above post for a link to the PRXIX. I'll be flying that, if I can!
