This is one of the better WWII films of the period (1945), but like even the corny ones, it has fantastic footage of the aircraft used in that war...every time I rent one of these films, I feel like sharing some images with you guys. If you like these caps, by all means rent or buy this flick- you'll be glad you did.
A paratrooper mission is planned to strike a Japanese radar outpost deep inside Burma. First a P-38 with recon camera is sent out to find a suitable LZ:
Then it's time to ready the C47s for the mission.
The guys are in high spirits; they've been waiting for something to do.
But as they start up and head out into the gloomy unknown, they grow more and more quiet...
Next: Delivered into harm's way via C47!!

Sean how do you take pics like this when playing a DVD in your PC? I only ever get a black screen if I try and take screenshots!
There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

I've been wondering the same thing for a while now. I don't know if the films are on tape or DVD but the cap quality is outstanding.

I'll have to give that a whirl. I've been using ASUSDVD XP 'cos that came with my video card. I have to say it is a seriously good player and has never bugged out on me.... unlike WMP

My excellent Lite-on DVD burner came with InterVideo WinDVD 4, which has a handy snapshot function. Although they come out under 600 x 800 as JPEGs, I usually have to just open and save them with Paint to compress them a little to under 100K.
They still come out very nicely, if you pause on a frame that's not blurry...
