The CFS jet engine algorithms have been corrected and the AvHistory Version 4 first generation jets will make their numbers at both low & high altitude.
The XP-80 weighted 6287 pounds empty and 8196 pounds loaded. Dimensions were wingspan 37 feet 0 inches, length 32 feet 10 inches, height 10 feet 3 inches, and wing area 240 square feet. During tests, the XP-80 reached a top speed of 502 mph at 20,480 feet, becoming the first USAAF aircraft to exceed 500 mph in level flight.
The YP-80 pictured above was a larger aircraft built to accommodate a bigger engine & weighed 7920lbs empty. It could reach 558mph at sea level, 509mph at 30,000ft and 492mph at 40,000ft.
Two YP-80's tail numbers 44-83028 and 83029 were shipped to the Mediterranean. They flew some operational sorties, but they never encountered any enemy aircraft.
These YP-80's will appear in MAW.
The lack of avionics, navagation, weapons systems & trans sonic flight model fidelity make CFS3 unsuitable for anything past Korea.
If you want to fly a true modern simulator get Falcon 4 which IMHO is the best simulator ever put on a home computer. You want modern aircraft detail Falcon 4 is it, like 100+ individual steps to go from a cold aircraft to the ready to taxi call.
Takes about 7 minutes for the inertial guidance system to align itself with the planes location on the face of the earth after you load its inputs.
