Hi - The forums are not linked to the members site & all forums users should receive email notifications regardless.
Due to several issues I'm planning a server reboot one early morning soon. Maybe that will fix it but generally the sendmail is working for other site things. I suspect this is a forum issue rather than anything on the server or mail sending system.

Thanks for the response Pete. I think you may be correct because I still recieved the monthly news letter yesterday. The forums I do the most posting in are first Aircraft design and secondly the Monthly screenshot contest forum. I have'nt recieved any notifications from these posts in the past week or so. Anyone else having this same problem? Greg.

Hi Mushroom_Farmer,
Thanks for your reply. Still couldn't find anything referring to a newsletter and I am already a member of Simviation. But thanks anyway.

Hey crash, just a thought......Any chance the letters are going to your junk e-mail box or being blocked by spam blockers? Also make sure your e-mail address is in your profile.
Of course I'm sure you already know this, so now to you I appear as a complete fool......

Well you don't appear as a complete fool to me. There is an e-mail address in my profile, I don't have a junk e-mailbox and no spam filters or blockers that I know of. Must be something else then.
Crash
PS getting of topic a bit and this isn't my topic so I leave it for now.

Hi - there is no monthly newsletter ......
I never read such things & so wouldn't think it would be of much interest to people ... could be wrong though ...
Wouldn't think the work involved would be worth the return of interest ...
Maybe you are getting us mixed up with another site newsletter?
However - to register as a site member or forums you will get a confirmation & therefore the mail system has to be working.
I get sent confirmation of new members every day - that's how I know it works. It is the same mail system that deals with the forums - & therefore if it isn't working for the forum notifications then it is the forum at fault -
The forums are already creaking under their own weight & due for a major update. Unfortunately updating the forums is itself part of the problem
