Screenshot Art.com is very proud to announce,

...

In association with the Vulcan to the Sky Trust we bring you our third major contest of 2006. The top 10 pictures will be on display at the year's Royal International Air Tattoo in the Patrons Pavilion and along the way will be judged by professional Aviation Artists - details of Artists to follow.

This is your chance to show support for the Vulcan to the Sky Trust who are trying to get a Vulcan in the air again - the only one in the World. Please make sure you visit their website and please tell your friends to enter this contest - let's show them our support by getting lots of entries in.

If you do not have a Vulcan in your hangar please go here to download Phoenix Simulations model of the very aircraft being renovated, the XH558. If you buy this model 50% of the proceeds will go to the Vulcan to the Sky Trust. If you do one good thing this month, buy this model and enter a picture.

The contest starts June 4th 2006 and will close June 30th 2006 Midnight GMT, so you need to get moving fellas!

Please go here to read the details and how to post your entries.

Good Luck!

I don't mind contributing to a good cause (and XH558 is definitely a good cause), but I feel the need to vent a bit here.  I followed the link, went to the PSS site, and purchased the download for £15.  Great, it works, that's a very nice rendition of XH558.  Unfortunately, that's it.  Nothing else.  Just XH558.

I wish now that I'd been less impulsive, and done a bit more research first.  I wish now that I'd purchased the JF version on CD instead of downloading the online version from PSS.  Because the JF version includes:

Vulcan B2 XH558 current.
Vulcan B2 XH558 1960 230 OCU.
Vulcan B2 XH558 1970 230 OCU.
Vulcan B2 XH558 1981 27 Sqdn.
Vulcan B2 XL321 617 Sqdn - Blue Steel nuclear missile.
Vulcan B2 XL443 Scampton Wing 1969 - Blue Steel nuclear missile.
Vulcan B2K XH561 50 Sqdn Falklands War air-to-air tanker.
Vulcan B2 XH537 230 OCU 1960`s Skybolt nuclear missile.
Vulcan B2 XM597 101 Sqdn Falklands War - Shrike missiles “Black Buck”.
Vulcan B2 XM612 101 Sqdn 1979.

Instead I've got one version of XH558, and nothing else.  Zip.  Nada.  For the same price.  PSS state they have no intention of making any other repaints or add-ons available for this model.

I'll probably end up getting the JF version at some point, but I feel a bit cheated and it's unlikely I'll be buying anything else from PSS.

I believe there are extra repaints for the Vulcan, just made by users, and not PSS.
