This historically significant A/C flew American Ambassador Martin off of the rooftop of the American Embassy during the evacuation of Operation Frequent Winds which signaled the end of the conflict for the Vietnam War.

I am the Depot TYCOM (Type Commander) for the US Naval Reserves. I am responsible for all depot action on every type of Navy Reserve aircraft. We are currently striking the aircraft that is mentioned in the above paragraph. Can you guess what type of aircraft it is?

We are donating it to the Flying Leathernecks museum at NAS Miramar.

First one correct gets a big jar of orange marmalade!

The regular navy has them too.

Heh, I was watching my dad's old home movies of when he was in Vietnam* and a Sea Knight was doing some sort of exchange between the ship.

*He was on a Destroyer. Wink
