Well it can't transfer the whole lot. It's got a speed limiter for a start. It can however transfer more than any bloody Nissan no matter how souped up the engine may be.

The only way that would be possible would be if they only measured the cars power at the wheels. I personally think this would be better anyway because the power at the wheels is all you can use. Remember, a car is a machine and therefore cannot be perfect. There will be a percentage of power lost between the flywheel and the ground, its just a fact of simple physics.
However, if the "advertised" horsepower was the power measured at the wheels-then yes you could say that all the power was transfered to the ground.
I would imagine the Bugatti (not knowning anything about it) probably had its horsepower measured at the flywheel because that way you get the absolutely highest number of horsepower possible for advertising. Then, they concentrated on building a really efficient drive train to minimize the power lost. Could a Skyline (or a Camaro...or any car for that matter) be as efficient? Sure, its possible with enough money. Is it worth it...probably not.

The bugatti does 404 km/h ? Save the money and buy a koeniggsegg ccx whisch does 250 mph or 400 km/h... looks way cooler too!

As woody said, speed limiter. The bugatti could go alot faster. Plus the koeniggsegg ccx even with the topgear wing, is still and absolute danger to the driver and really not designed for everyday use. The Veyron is more designed as an every day car. I'd take that one over the koeniggsegg any day.

I often use mine for just nipping to the corner shop just down the road.
Limited to 250 miles per hour cause other wise you'd need reactions like spiderman to stop yourself from hitting that wall that 10 seconds ago was three miles away.

Yah, Skylines can carry 900+ hp or whatever the conversion is for Europe stat's. Although both cars are very nice, Skyline has a onboard computer which helps with handling and also gives other important information relating to engine temps etc...
Most R34's-GTR's run dule turbo's almost pushing 400hp each along with stock hp around baseline of 300. Due the math 300x2= 600+300= 900hp plus other engine upgrades, cams pistons etc. etc. Adding up to 100 hp, you can push the 1000 or 1.300 mark etc.
The Buggatti, stock and can run "407km/h or 253mph" is quite an achivement! I love both cars, as I all like things that go fast. But I gotta say the skyline gets my call as what car I like, just hearing that dule turbo spool up like a jet engine sounds soo neat.

Nah man, nothing sounds better than a vintage American big block V8 with a big cam, headers, and dual exhaust.
