Wherever you hear a song - in a bar, on the radio, in the car - Shazam can tell you the artist and track title. Try it, you'll be amazed.

All you have to do is:

Hear a track you want to identify (make sure it is loud)
Dial 2580 on your mobile
Wait for the tone
Point your phone towards the music
Shazam listens to the tune with you for 15 seconds.
Shazam ends the call

You then get a text message with the name of the track and the artist.

It does actually work, have tried it one some pretty obscure songs, and it successfully recognised them.
