Does anyone know if FSX will be SLI or crossfire enabled? or if Vista will have SLI capabilities? Id like to build pretty rock solid rig if possible

Well as almost every popular new game out has crossfire and sli support I don't see why not. You have to question the wisdom in getting a multi gpu rig though when the performance advantage is only about 35% in most games and yet your paying another £300+. From what I have read the nvidia SLI will only work on nforcesli chipsets wheras the ati drivers are less locked down and although non ati chipsets arn't supported the cards will work on them.

Yes, with the ever increasing performance of single cards, it does not make sense to get two cards that will be surpassed in performace with a new single card a few months later.

I have always viewd SLI/crossfire as just a marketing ploy to seperate you from your cash. Wink

in the days of voodoo2 sli did make a differance though as graphics chips were kind of underpowered for the games. SLI ment you could run quake at 1024x768 smoothly Shocked

nowerdays the differance between sli and non sli at the highend is 16xaa or 8xaa, you just don't notice as big improvenment Tongue
