Is there any way to change the color of the Start button on Windows XP? It's the only spot of green on my desktop, and it's starting to annoy me  Angry

Go to your desktop, right click, appearance, then mod what you wish.

Why not auto-hide the taskbar?

Right-click anywhere on the taskbar & select Properties.

That's the first thing I do when diagnosing a friend's PC. Of course they immediately freak and ask...."Y-Y-Y-Y-Y-You're gonna change that back aren't ya." To which I reply, "Yeah, I just have to temporarily take it out of Windows-for-Illiterates"mode so I can list more files in the same screen space."

Good old Windows Classic! And the best thing about it, is that it's not exactly the same as Win 98, so at least there's some difference!
