I had been inviting my girlfriend to come up on training flights with me for the last three weekends and FINALLY the weather was good enough to actually fly!  It was my first flight with a new instructor and man was the weather perfect!

She hadn't flown with me for about 3 years and when she did was always on the edge of being sick... but on friday she did qute well... especially since we were doing Chandelle's, Lazy 8's and Spiral Descents for the full .9.

It was my first time doing these in the Cardinal and the first time flying with this new instructor and actually did quite well.  Even earned a few, "Dang!  That was good!" remarks!   And I even finished it off with a beautiful greaser and I didn't even let the nose down untill about 30 feet from my turn-off on our nice little 2,700x36 foot runway. Wink

She was still green afterwards but never got sick!  She wasn't too crazy about doing about 20 minutes of lazy 8's over and over though. haha

Tomorrow I go up again (hopefully for 1.5 this time) and HOPEFULLY will earn my complex-checkout so that I can fly SOLO on my next flight this Thursday!  Wohoo!!

Sounds like a fun flight, but not so much for a person that gets airsick. Grin Wink

Did you do the new version of lazy-8's or the old version (the violent ones Grin)?

LOL  Yeah, she did great though.  She knew to speek up if she needed us to stop.  I already spoke to her about that.

As for the lazy-8's... must be the new ones as I don't know what the violent version would be.  lol  These are extremely smooth.

What exactly is a "violent" lazy-8?

A Cuban 8?
