Saw this over on the FIghterOps forums.  It's a video of a Bell 206 flying around an oil platform, showing off mostly the new water textures, rotor wash, and other really cool stuff. Smiley

wow I thought FSx would look good but not that good those textures are very nice, it looks more like a big budget FPS then flight simulator.  Definatly a huge step forward in graphics, the waters better than css!

If you had told me that was real footage of a heli landing on an oil rig, i would have believed you. Shocked  The only thing that gives it away is the panning.

I agree........ for serious simmers it is about more than "eye candy".  Yes the graphics look like a great improvement......... but what "functional stuff" have they changed?

And to actually get those graphics along with decent framerates........ what kind of machine will be necessary?  (Certainly nmot the "minimum specification" they will post on the box.   Tongue)
