None..
It was an accident..
Just bad weather, the ended in a tragic crash..
Just because something goes wrong, there dosn't has to be a "Conspiracy" about it..
Example: That carcrash last week, Accident or conspiracy?
was it on purpose, that lady missed the bus?
Everything dosn't has to be a conspiracy..
Sh!t happens, and not always for a reason!

The one where U-21 sank the Titanic, causing the captain to fire a flare which was intercepted by aliens in outer space, once they found out what it was, they got so angry at wasting a research grant from Xangrious 5Delta-9 that they relighted it threw it back down to Earth and it caught the Hindenburg fire, the aliens gave advance warning to the fathers of Elvis and Kennedy though, so they were spared injury in the crash, but their sons set out to avenge the aliens treachery toward humanity by faking their deaths, joining the US government and working in area 51, where they developed a secret missile that fooled people into thinking it was an aeroplane and carried out the 9-11 attacks with government funding. They blamed it on that poor Osama. What a sham! He was on Xangrious 5Delta-8 at the time!
The government lies!

On a serious note, it appears that the Hindenburg carried the seeds of its own destruction.
A documentary presented the conclusion that the Hindenburg's fabric covering was doped with a cocktail of substances that while they preserved and protected, were also highly flammmable themseves, which is why the fire spread so fast. Instead of being fire retardant, the fabric was actually a fire enhancer! This, according to Zeppelin's own investigation, the results of which, naturally, were suppressed.

And, now that we're all aware, you're telling us it wasn't a very good cover-up? ??? 8)
Mentioning cover-ups, one of these days some one of you is going to find me and I'm going to be smothered in a layer or so of thick goo!

If we watched the same documentary, the undeniable proof was when the NASA guy (who worked with hydrogen a lot) cut a strip of some remaining Hindenburg fabric and applied some electricity to it...
Poof!
Expensive proof indeed.

as i understand it the inner side and the outer side of the fabric were treated with some chemicals that when put together would selfignite in damp air.
the fabric itself should keep them apart but over time there might have been some detoriation.

There are many things that could have gone wrong with Hindenburg, due to it's inherent design, however only one theory is glaring guilty. As Felix brought up, the Hindenburg's skin was covered in materials flammable when exposed to electricity. The landing zone was a cesspool of static electricity. I doubt I'll hear a better theory.
