I just picked up both the new TOOL album 10,000 Days, and the new self titled Pearl Jam album. I'm currently listening to the last track on Pearl Jam and I must say, this has been one good album. It isn't revolutionary like everyone on my local radio station seemed to think, but not at all dissapointing. To me it just sounds like the band has come into their own and refined their sound- evolved -if you will. I haven't listened to 10,000 Days yet, need the right atmosphere for Tool. But I expect it to be as good as the last album. They have yet to produce something that didn't blow my mind. And speaking of mind blowing, the album art is one of the coolest things I have ever seen. It's a stereoscopic 3D image on every page that you have to look at through these lenses attached to the CD case.

Anyway, these are two of my favorite bands and neither of them has done anything for several years, so I tought I would see what others had to say about it. Anyone else heard these albums?

Sorry but it's just not Smiley

The new Pearl Jam album sounds like a jam session but that's cool it's not their best but still a good listen and when they put the effort they have into keeping ticket prices down and taking on ticketmaster and such then in my eyes they can take it easy for an album. Besides they released all copyright on the lead single Worldwide Suicide so if you can find it you can just download it 8)

I have the new tool album and it sounds like their best one yet, although I'm not their best fan they try and it's better than most bland indie crap we're getting these days.

I posted a thread one page over about the new Tool album but had no replys, once again awesome album from Tool. Id say its Lateralis Pt II but still a little different in ways, but as per usual 5 years in the making = superior music, vocals, effects. Tool are unmistakeably my Favourite band.
