OK, I'll ask another question and maybe, just maybe, i'll get an answer to this one. Can you do a boolean cut on a part that has already had a boolean cut done to it?

<G>
Falcon - NCGent uses FSDS.
The FSDS boolean function is a bit quirky, and even during beta testing it gave us a lot of fits.
I use the boolean functions sparingly, and then, I'll clone the part I'm working on and reduce the copied part to the bare minimum sections on which I'll use the boolean. That leaves me the original "mold" part in case I need to do more booleans, etc.
Bascially, I try to get the overall shape right before I start chopping and slicing the openings.

Thanks for you help guys. I guess i'll trash this model then because I have more cuts and it locks up the program every time I try to make one.

One of the neat things of the Boolean function in FSDS is that it keeps the original (parent) parts.
Typically, I'll try to do as many boolean cuts at one time as I can/need. If I need to cut the fuselage windows, I'll create my different "tools" and then join all those tools into ONE tool part. (the "tool" does not have to be one, continuous part).
I have no compunction in copying the unblemished parent part and reducing it to the absolutely necessary sections that will be operated on. Later, I can join these booleaned parts to the "original" with the appropriate polygons cut out.
After the boolean operation in FSDS, the parts are completely triangulated (which is not necessarily bad, because that's what the compiling process does, as well, when converting the model to FS9.).
My meshes tend to be quad polygons where no boolean has been done, and the triangulated (and frequently cleaned up) polygons where I've done booleans.
I'll try to post a screenshot of what I mean.
