hi guys...im on my last legs with the Miniplane and now im at the final VC 'programing' stage. so...all the stuff is done and working and the eyepoint is set (on the aircraft.cfg) but on the Sim the user needs to zoom out to .50-zoom in order to view the panel and outside as well...if you have it on zoom 1 then its as if you were lookign through a magnifying glass... anyway, my question is:

how can i edit the panel.cfg file so every time i load the model on the simulator and go to the VC i dont have to manually zoom out?

i have another question to piggyback here....

how can i edit the panel.cfg so when i load the model it wont load on the panel view but on the VC view instead? i will not be including a 2D panel with this model so i want it to load straight into the VC view. the only model ive ever seen do this was Bill Lyons' "Cannibal Queen" Super Stearman released for FS2000.

thnx Smiley

EDIT: Re: Bill Lyon's "Cannibal Queen"...i looked at the panel.cfg and the only weird entry was on the window_00 part... it had a couple entries ive never seen before, i tried them on my panel but they didnt work...

Quote:
[Window00]
file=blank1.bmp
file_1024=radio1.bmp
position=4
size_mm=640,480
window_pos=0.0,0.0
window_size=1.000,1.000
render_3d_window=1
sizeable=1
visible=1
ident=MAIN_PANEL

gauge00=x

Well, the first part I'm not sure about.  But I THINK it might have something to do with the "eyepoint" section in the aircraft config.  This would seem to be the place for that kind of thing, seeing as the panel file is simply there for a flat surface the gauges can sit on.

As for the second part, I don't think this is possible in FS2004 to eliminate the regular panel view.  I know its possible to eliminate the VC section (don't know how!).  But as far as I know, what view is loaded at the beginning of a flight is the last view that was seen before the person saved their flight.

Now, if you save a flight like you want it (in the VC) and then include that in the package, every time they load that flight they will start in the VC.  But other than that I think you're SOL.
