I have built a MiG-29 (FSDS V.2) but the nosewheel steers in the opposite direction.  This only happens when the nosegear is animated.  If I just put the nosegear in position without retraction animation the steering is correct.

What on earth can be the problem ?

Try keyframe animating it using "C_Wheel" as the name and 100-200 as the keyframes.  Rotation should be clockwise (looking down on it) and you MIGHT want to mark frames at 133, 166 and then 200.  This way, you can be absolutely sure the animations are correct.

If this doesn't work for you, just rotate the pivot 180 degrees and animate as normal.  That should take care of the issue.

Thanks for the information Locke.  I can do what you suggested but I still don't know why this is happening.  I have built more than 100 aircraft and have never encountered this problem.

I believe I finally discovered the reason for this problem.  My nosegear is too detailed.  I stripped some of the parts off and it then worked as it should.
