Hi Lads... Grin...!
Excellent show!
Shame about the "lag" with so many of us in the airfield... Cry ...!
Still it all went well and I enjoyed my fly around in my old Auster...Memories from the past!.... Grin...!

I couldn't download all the "special" aircraft..too many of them... Shocked...so only the default ones showed up for me... Wink...!

I still think it would be nice, sometime, to hold a show using only the DEFAULT aircraft!
That way anyone could pop in to the show and ALL the planes would show up correctly...remember that our three default yellow Piper Cubs all appeared correctly at the end of the show... Wink...!

Cheers all...Good fun...Grin...!

Paul...G-BPLF....8)...!

So, Tweek passed the idea onto me of having a "SimV Fly-In", using only default aircraft Smiley

Here are a few details he and I are discussing:

Date: possibly Saturday 13th May?

Default aircraft is a must - there isn't a lot of choice, but there is enough to still enjoy yourself Wink

Location is yet to be decided - it'll probably be somewhere large enough for a default jet to land and takeoff 8)

Room for single/formation flypasts - no, this isn't an airshow, just like a "SimV meeting", if you will. (Don't worry, though - another airshow will be coming within the forseeable future Smiley)

Any further ideas/comments are welcome! Smiley

Why dont we do a SimV Flight?

Basically we all meet at one airport in any default plane, then navigate our way to another airport and let the festivities begin!

The PA dude created a good deal of lag last time, so anyone on the ground would be best suited to a Schweizer Wink

That's basically it. We could all fly from different airports perhaps, (with ATC at the destination airport?) and all meet up in the same place.

Then we can have flypasts and stuff once everyone is down on the ground. Perhaps even some short races of about 4/5 people, around the airfield, or competitions of some sort! Smiley

aright, i see what your saying.

still, i'd be more than happy to host the Fly-ins. I've got it all, and server (rather my PC) specs are in the hardware forum, and show up t http://24.12.147.91

anyway, it's too bad that others cant see our aircraft w/o them having it too... should have some server system generate graphics.

I still think itd be cool to do a flight together.  Maybe go to an airport near somewhere and do like a tourist trip.  (like fly into Shoreham and go up to London)

If ATC Radar Screen works with the server i would LOVE to do ATC for you guys, for awhile i was rated as a VATSIM controller, but i never could figure out how to connect to the system so i never acculy did it, however i have worked with some small groups  Grin

I never ceased to be amazed that no-one, (except me!), seems to have recognised that problem after all these years on in-line Flight Simming...
.....it's the way Uncle Bill originally designed the program using his own "in house" designed, default aircraft....
...all the rest are third-party add-ons, and only work for those few folk who have them installed in their Hangar...Wink...!
If other flyers don't have them, then they wont be seen in Multiplayer Flights...
...trust me... Wink...!
The same goes for add-on scenery, textures, effects, etc, etc...!
No-one but me sees all my gorgeous add-on scenery during our flights...!
And the same goes for other flyers with their own scenery,  etc...

Cheers Lads... Grin...!

I think the whole thing is an EXCELLENT IDEA lads...!
Default aircraft for anyone and everyone who fancies joining in with the fun...
What could be better, I ask you... Wink...!

...but, I assume that if anyone of us has added an additional 3rd. party texture to their default aircraft .cfg file, it wont necessarily show up in the Multiplayer session...
...am I right, or am I right....?

Cheers Lads...!

you may be left. Wink

as you can still see, i'm still showing my support for this. i just did a major upgrade to the software (and some other computer changes) to help FSHost run better (means less lag time).

Very true indeed. Which is why we'll imply the entirely default rule.

It's one of them events where you need'nt debate the rules. If you want to turn up, do so, if not, don't! But we felt it would be a good idea due to the point that you bring up every time Grin

The SimV airshow will still be the same though. We need more variety for a whole airshow Wink

The annoying thing is that I seem to remember CFS1 MP being able to see add-on aircraft.

Sounds good
