All of us simpit builders are always tied to finding "stand alone" gauges to put on the networked computers.  It is a pain....and the selection is rather limited.

We drool over all the wonderful gauges that are so easily installable in the regular aircraft in the sim.

What is needed is a stand alone app that runs on a networked computer that allows you to create a single full screen panel using any of the STANDARD fs2004 panel gauges that can be installed into any "in sim" aircraft.

Payware FSUIPC and WideFS, which is the "standard of the industry" for simpit builders, already allows an application to "think" that fs2004 is running on the networked machine by passing all data into / out of the sim.  So the data stream is already available.  You just have to hook into it.

So what is needed is a "fake" fs2004 that only does one thing:  it displays a single panel that the user can create just like any other panel is created for putting into an aircarft within the sim.  But in this case..... it is running on a separate computer from the actual sim.

Get the idea?  I think this idea has GREAT potential either as freeware (hopefully).... or even as payware.... as long as it is relatively inexpensive.

If you tackle it...... I just to be an official "test site" for providing the idea.   Wink
