ok my server is back up.

someone hacked into my system via VNC while I was on, so we were fighting for the mouse.

he tried to type something into the URL bar but i shut off my comp before that.

I have new security protocols in place to prevent that. the server is back up and running after 1 hour shutdown.

That sounds like fun.

We used Macs in web design, and on Mac keyboards, you can plug in mice on both ends.  What's awesome is the computer actually takes both inputs.  We'd have mousewars, where we'd have two mice plugged in, one person on either side of the computer.  The cursor would be in the middle of the screen, and we'd each have a file we had to open on opposite sides of the screen.

When the teacher left the room, it became contact mousewars.  Anything went.  I got my first black eye since fourth grade Grin

Glad to hear it's back up and running, once I actually have free time and I figure out whether or not TS is still on my comp I may MP some more.

OK, time for the last update.

we are a week old!

ok, so here's the new things that are going around to keep everyone on the same page.

we have two new ATC controllers, N724WZ *signing up for SimV today) and our very own BAW0343.

I also control KORD airspace.

a VA is being opened, with my server being the host. im unsure of the deatils just yet, as the two new CEO's are based in boston, and my server here in Chicago.

cool stuff. glad it was a success!

Ok, I was flying a couple of minutes ago (about 11:00 PM eastern) with one of my friends and then one of the radar people came in and was all like "You need teamskeek for saftey"  I think that is stupid that when no one else is in the server, in a place that had no major cities, when niether of us had working mics, and we were just screwing around, why did we need a program that niether of us needed of could use.  I can see why when there are a bunch of people doing a "real" simulation around a major airport with lots of people, but why with two people in the middle of nowhere?

i find it amazing that this server, which i have created, with only a few rules, to keep the free flight 'free'. yet your complaining becuase we would like to maintain contact with who is on the server.

we only expect you to listen on tamspeak. talking is optional (but reccommended).

and don't you find it easier to vocally communicate with someone rather than fiddle with the chatbox?

Thats when i came on (ATC-KTUS) "yellin" (all in good fun) at you guys then saying i didnt care, only 2 of you and i knew you wouldnt just jump out of the game to get TS, you wernt flying at a towerd airport so no communication was nessasary. But it is a server rule and talking IS optional   but for us controllers to be able to quicky talk to you to get the point across is verry nice,  when it gets busy text is often ignored. so if you guys get a chance download Teamspeak even though you dont have a mic it is a nice and usefull program.  Grin   and do please keep coming back to the server, beacuse (not many ATC will ever say this) we need the traffic lol  Grin Cheesy Wink
