Hi
I thought I would post some more pics of old car parts being put to good use in the old simpit. Cheesy

These levers/handles ?? (don't know what to call em) would be good for making a Cessna type throttle/pitch/mixture quadrant as these could be simply bolted into a bulkhead etc and the handles could be cut down and a wood knob could be fitted I think quite easily.
Again all you would need to do is attach the cable to a slide type pot adjust the length of the travel by cutting off the outside sheath and secure the end.

The pic with the red knob unit I intend to convert this into a fuel primimg pump unit that I would have to pump X amount of times before I could engage the starter button. (I will make a counting type cct to do this)

So put your thinking caps on and get designing/building. Grin

cheers

I used this device to operate the volume control pot on the simpit's subwoofer.

This is how I connected the cable to the sub's pot. The gears I ued are out of an old vcr. Old VCRs are a great source of gears /motors etc-- good junk Grin (I have become a very good tip rat for junk Grin)
