Ok well i got a plane to fly around like I wanted in FS.

Now i am using FS route (or whatever it is Roll Eyes )

How can i add more planes to my selection of aircraft?

do I HAVE to use planes designed for AI use?

You do not have to use ai only aircraft, you can use any ac. The problem is that flyable aircraft have much more detail and therefore will have a much greater effect on your framerates.

I would suggest sticking with ai aircraft. Check the above sticky for some good ai sources.

To add more planes to your selection follow the instructions in  TTools-Help>aircraft.txt section. It's simply a matter of adding a new AC#.... line to the aircraft.txt for each aircraft.

Congratulations on getting some AI planes of your choice to show up. Now, if you want to take control of your FS9 AI move on from the Name-I-Can't-Remember programs and make your traffic_MINE.bgl files the old-fashioned way: by hand.

Write simple aircraft.txt and flightplans.txt files and combine them with airports_FS2004 (create FS2004 by running TTools202CollectAirports and rename it to airports.txt)

This gives one the three (3) basic files required to run TTools Compile. Get MS TrafficToolBox and go look at your new creations.

...
. . . and oh yes, have fun.
P.S. By using the WEEK delineator the planes sit on the ground most of the time and don't gobble up as much computer resources.
