Take a look at this video...I've never heard of such a thing being possible...To me it looks fake because of the way the jet behaves...but I could be wrong...can someone shed some light on this?

Cheers,
Ashar

Definite fake. You can tell from the way the water doesnt come off the wings as it leaves the water.

Very nice fake.  The Navy uses a modified F-18 for its underwater launches!

I do like the responce that it's a fake cause there was no water on the wings when it took off.

Hows about "it's a fake cause a jet planes just been fired out of the sea."

Definately a Polaris or similar missile launch with a "plane" photoshoped over the missile.

The Missile is pushed out of the submarine by compressed air.  That's what makes the water erupt around the missile when it first breaches the surface.  Then when the missile senses it is starting to fall back to earth the rocket motor fires.  You'll notice this happening when the "plane" briefly pauses just prior to the rocket firing.

3 ways to tell this is a fake:

1. Plane doesent match coloring of video

2. Water doesnt come off the wings

3. Navy wouldent be caught dead flying an Air Force F-15  Grin Wink
