You won't see very much heat haze from exhausts that small, particularly with the addition of smoke. Anyway, it has to be after take off if it is at a UK show otherwise it would be highly illegal...

by the way the SU27 has a manouver called the cobra. you can basicaly fly verticaly backwards, it is known for this manouver and is the only plane in the world that can do this. Those are some sweet shots

Impressive but not flying backwards. The Harrier is the only aircraft capable of that.

This is a description of the "Kulbit" manoeuvre.
"Kulbit

One demonstration will be the "Kulbit" (which means "circle" in Russian), a high angle-of-attack (AOA) "Cobra" pitch-up, followed by a low-airspeed, looplike vertical rotation (below). A variation on the Cobra maneuver first demonstrated by the Sukhoi Su-27, this "somersault" combines rapid deceleration with a full 360-deg., tight-diameter "loop."

From a horizontal attitude, a pilot rapidly pitches the nose up, using the integrated fly-by-wire flight control and TVC systems to command high pitch rates (positions 1-5). Altitude gain is minimal, and airspeed drops quickly as AOA reaches 90 deg.; the aircraft is still moving horizontally. With airspeed below 50 kt., the aircraft goes inverted and the nose falls through the horizontal (6-8). As airspeed increases, the pilot pulls through the nose-down vertical position and back to horizontal, accelerating in the same direction as he started the maneuver (9-12).

This modified Cobra could force an adversary to overshoot, positioning the Su-37 for a missile shot."

This is the "Cobra"

Helicopter pilots would disagree. The only aeroplane capable of flying backwards (An-2s in strong headwinds don't count!) Wink

I knew should have qualified that statement. Of course I meant real aeroplanes with wings. Helicopters don't count. Tongue

That did have the advantage of some serious thrust vectoring nozzles though when it was flown from S+L at Farnborough... Grin

Indeed. I'm sure that demonstrating that was the whole reason behind the highly impressive display routine.

COOL VIDEO! but I think other planes can do the cobra, just not as well. I saw on TV a guy do it in an extra.
