OK so I have seen many different kinds of cars, and living now in the Midwest USA rare cars are a rare sight, but every day during my lunch hour, to get away from the office, I go park in a shopping center parking lot next to I-44, and sit there either napping or watching cars go by.

So Im watching cars come down the access road, and I see something silver that looks familiar, and I had to triple take because as it passed me, I had to smile ear to ear and laugh afterwards.

A silver Nissan Skyline R33 GT-R with right hand drive and Missouri license plates passed by. I have always loved Skylines and know that you can get one in the states if you pay a hefty fee, but never thought I would see one.

it made my day.

The other day I passed three Lambo's in a two mile stretch of road. I presume it must have been a meeting or something. Grin

seeing skylines isn't as rare as it used to be anymore, where i live in runcorn i've counted:

2x Ferrari 550's
3x R34 Skyline
2x R33 Skyline
1x R32 Skyline (226bhp standard)
1x Lambo (model from the mid 1970's)
2x TVR Tuscan Speed 12's
and a Dutton (owned by my friend with a V12 engine in it).

and i live in an insurance rated High zone.

Well all, in Missouri, a Skyline is EXTREMELY rare, even moreso than highline supercars.

Ive seen more Ferraris, Lambos, Rolls, Bentleys, Astons, Lotus, GT40s, etc on the roads around here, but in my 36 years the R33 is the first ever Skyline.

i do have to admit though out of all the latest supercars that are out there, if the chance came for me to own a skyline and pay the insurance on it i certainly would.

that is certainly a rareity by all means, any chance that if you see one of these lurking around could you get some shots?

My local Ford dealer has two GT's sitting in the showroom.  If your interested send me a check and i'll drive it to you.  It might take a week or two or three!! Grin

Now an original GT40 would be a very rare sight to see on the road.

Trust me mate, they are one of the "better" cars in existance!

Unbelievable performance, from some equally mad power outputs! - Not beyond possibility to get over 1000bhp from the things!

I don't care how great it is. For me the whole illusion is ruined by the "Nissan" badge on the front. From then you cannot help but be reminded of the Micra and Sunny. Tongue

Here in Australia Skylines are pretty damn common. Being an avid Skyline fan myself I used to own one (Until some bastards stole it). Both my brothers still own Skylines R34 GTTR (Modified GTT to GTR Rear Wheel) and  R33 GTST. You see plenty of them around here on a day to day basis, not so much GTRs too often but all the others (GT, GTS, GTST, GT4, GTT). Still in my eyes one of the best cars to ever roll on the earths surface.

Well, i really dont know where you are from, but in the U.S, acutaly, in the whole Continent of America, the supper street ass-kicking-tunner-car Nissan Skyline is incredibly weird, a common car to see is a... umh.... Dodge Stratus? idk, maybe the Honda Civic.

But i am a NUT for R34's, the R33 is ok, but the R34 drives me crazy, when i become a video game designer :p I am going to buy one.
