On an airport I am modifying with AFCAD at the moment I am having aircraft conflicts because of the layout/parking.
Is there a way to force aircraft to use certain taxiways to enter/exit parking areas and runways or maybe a one way trick where aircraft enter one way and leave another?

Thanks

Not according to what Lee Swordy writes in his AF2 Readme.

AI pretty much do what they want as far as taxiing routes go; the caveate being if there's only one taxi route AI will use it.

Parking codes can be included using AF2 Tools and imaginary codes used (by the author) but his will only control where they park -- not how AI aircraft get there.

As wji points out there is no way to assign direction to taxi links. But there are a couple of things you can do to help sort things out.

Ai taxi to/from parking using the shortest route even if that route takes them thru congested areas, like parking aprons. By deleting/closing taxi links or creating new ones you can possibly 'force' ai around these congested areas.

Parking is assigned in the order in which parking appears in the 'parking list', not in the order of gate or parking number. (of course type, size and code are applied). 'Randomizing' the parking list can help spread the ac out a bit. This can be done manually or automatically from the List>Parking window.

To see if parking is 'bunched', open the properties window for a parking spot and then cycle thru using the 'next' button.

Thanks, that helps. Knowing that AI aircraft will always take the shortest route may enable me to arrange the taxiways to avoid conflicts.
