The problem I've got is with my personal picture/avatar which is linked to my website. Every now and then I have to keep going back to edit my profile in order to reset the link as it keeps reverting to an avatar in the gallery and unchecks the box for my own all by itself!
Talk of things that go 'bump' in the night!

That's the reason. It's against forum rules. No mystery at all.

Now you tell me!
I think therefore it's time to change the wording in the profile page. I'm pretty sure it gives you the option to link your avatar to your website - Am I not right? So for heavens sake stop confusing ppl and avoid giving them the option!
And how about some usufull guidance rather than just saying "i'ts time to unlink it again!" hows about letting me know the correct procedure????
By the way check my avatar!!!!!!!!

Right-click on your Avatar/ Properties/ and you will see that it's still linked to an external site.....not Simviation...

Yes Fozzer! Thanks but I know that! The point I was making was that I tried to use the above link instead of the one on my website to see if that was the problem and as it still got disconnected I decided it wasn't the problem and therefore reverted back to my website.
Anyway I will change it back to that upload link and see if Mr. Admin still decides to disconnect it again. I dunno, ...may be he was drunk last time and couldn't read the url properly!
Lets see!

Sorry if we came over as rude Red_Kite. Just a little friendly banter. You'll get used to it if you stick around.

Please keep PERSONAL avatars (logo under your name) less than 10K & 100 pixels wide
Please keep SIGNATURE images within 30K max.
Please do not post more than 500K total of files in any one thread.

Now that makes more sense! Thanks Hagar! It seems maybe that my image is too big!
Hey! Mr admin, can I have some constructive comments please?
By the way I did not think any of you came across as rude! Just the usual banter that I'm used to on other forums. I always give back what I get though so don't take my comments too seriously!

Red Kite ......... Its great that you've uploaded your avatar .....unfortunately it's still too big ..... even for a single screenshot. You'll probably find that it dissappears again
