I would like to announce that I have new GM Hughes Aircraft Co. Head-up display "HUD" units for sale. These units are designed by GM Hughes Aircraft Co. for use in ground vehicles, but the optics and projection system are equally suitable for cockpit use (the projection angle, distance, image size etc... are almost identical to the current Boeing 737 units).

These units are normally only available to government law enforcement agencies and other authorized customers, however I have a limited number of surplus units left over from an unfulfilled contract so I am making them available to you for a very small fraction of the GM Hughes purchase price!

You can find more information, photos, specifications and pricing for the units on the web site:
http://www.weartronics.com/products/gm_hughes/datavision.htm

Also, please see this Boeing news release showing photos of their latest 737 HUD:
http://www.boeing.com/commercial/news/feature/737tech.html

These units require a 9-16V DC power supply (8A maximum) and are suitable for direct connection to your NTSC "TV-Out" computer graphics card (or any other NTSC video source) using a standard BNC composite video cable.

You might also consider using the DecadeNet XBOB device for video generation or overlay:
http://www.decadenet.com/XBOB/XBOB.html

You can use the XBOB device to generate text and simple character based graphics (e.g. you could generate the lines, markings and indicators etc... for an airspeed indicator, altimeter, artificial horizon display), controlled using a simple command set from your PC serial port. Use this as a high contrast display on its own (like in the Boeing 737), or genlock overlay this information on another video signal.

The units I have for sale are shipped with amber filters (designed to preserve night vision), but the projection colour is easily changed by exchanging the plastic filter.

I can accept payments by bank wire transfer, Western Union money transfer or MoneyGram money transfer and I can securely repackage these units for air mail freight anywhere in the world. You may find my online trading record and feedback from previous customers on eBay under user ID "weartronics".

Pricing is USD950.00 each (excluding shipping costs) at the time of writing and is subject to change.

For your enquiries, or to place an order please contact me using the web site:

Best regards,

Nic
